I am James Roberson from London and today I am here to discuss some of my personal experiences with all of you. I am lawyer by profession and I specially deal with Mesothelioma cases. Mesothelioma is one of the types of cancers that is caused due to the continuous exposure to asbestos, one of the most dangerous micro phonic materials which when inhaled with be accumulated into the lungs, heart and abdominal parts and after few years will be transformed into tumour and spread to various parts of the body resulting in cancer. Mesothelioma Cancer Symptoms is most commonly seen in the people who work for asbestos dealing companies like cement, mining, painting, automobiles and ship yard. Though various countries have banned the use of asbestos but most of them are using it to make profits.
The disease can be easily diagnosed with X-ray and CT-scan, the average survival rate is 1 year after diagnosed with the disease. If the victim undergoes proper care and treatment, he can survive up to 4- 5 years. But this is often rare because the disease shows its symptoms after many years. Some of the common symptoms to identify this disease are sudden weight loss; sever cough, chest pain, abdominal pain, blood vomiting and high fever. As the treatment is very expensive most of the patients do not afford the treatment.

With so many men over the age of 50 suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other conditions related to erectile dysfunction, it is no surprise that the condition is so prevalent. Psychological issues, medications, erectile dysfunction treatment and prostate cancer treatments such as robotic prostatectomy and radiation can all cause ED. There is a substantial range of causes, but the effects on the patient’s self-esteem and quality of life are the same.

Consumers are exposed to many products claiming to be cures for ED. Most of these turn out to be useless. Herbal remedies, super-powered vitamins, fad diets and even hypnosis have all been touted as effective solutions. Because many men are too embarrassed to speak to their doctors about their erectile problems, these products continue to sell. The appeal of self-treating the symptoms anonymously is what their marketers rely on. These questionable remedies generally do not work. After trying a product and finding it to be a scam, some might assume that nothing else will work either. This is unfortunate and untrue.

There are several legitimate medical treatments for erectile dysfunction. Vacuum devices, oral medications, prostaglandin injections and suppositories all offer potential benefits. Cases that do not respond to these or other methods may be candidates for surgical treatment. All men who are experiencing erectile difficulties should seek the advice of a competent urologist who will be able to offer a treatment that is clinically tested, safe, effective and medically supervised.

Erectile dysfunction is extremely common and nothing to be ashamed of. Any man who is avoiding the issue because of embarrassment should consider that medical professionals see and deal with these problems every day– especially doctors who specialize in urology. Urologists are equipped with the best strategies to deal with any cause of erectile difficulties, even when they are complex.

Publicly traded health insurance companies present a highly uneasy balance between various constituents. Policyholders rely on their insurer to provide timely, relevant, and cost-efficient care when needed. Healthcare is a very unique product and service offering – you could say an anomaly – in the marketplace, in that it is an extremely “high leverage” offering. When customers need the product or service, they are at the mercy of the provider. If you were stranded in a desert and you came across a lemonade stand, how would you feel if the vendor charged you $10,000 for a glass of lemonade? Or if he chose not to sell you lemonade at all?

Secondly, the insurance is also a very distinct product in thes marketplace. Individual, organizational, and systemic risk can often be difficult, if not impossible, to quantify. Policyholders are constantly paying premiums to their insurer, but the insurer must be adept and ethical enough to ensure that they have the capacity to honor their pledged policies. When customers need treatment, they absolutely need to get their care at that very time. Being a publicly traded company, however, forces the management team to cater to Wall Street’s quarterly and yearly earnings expectations. The source of these periodic performance measures are analysts from investment banks and research firms that are often wrong in the measuring stick that they hold company executives to. What happens when earnings expectations for the third quarter are unreasonably high? Does management “play games” with policyholders? Perhaps the insurer will no longer honor certain terms, or cut costs that prevent care with effectiveness and efficacy. That’s just a few examples of a dangerous balancing game.

On an additional note, since the passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (after the Enron and WorldCom scandals), companies have been averse to going public due to the very significant bureaucratic and financial burdens of complying with SOX. Might this additional cost and burden cause publicly traded healthcare companies to pursue a more extreme version of cost cutting in order to protect the bottom-line? Other sectors, such as retail, telecom, and financial services, go through the occasional cost trimming as part of management’s mandates. The nature of healthcare’s offerings, and its critical importance to the lives of its customers, materially elevate the sensitivity of cost-cutting measures when lives and limbs may be at stake.
